Editorial Policy
Last updated: July 3, 2026
Hardwired Fit publishes content about fitness, health, mindset, faith, relationships, work, money, and personal growth. Our goal is to publish useful, original content that readers can understand, trust, and apply to their own lives.
Who Writes Our Content
Hardwired Fit is led by founder and lead writer Josh Clark, with contributions from Brody Clark and Daniel Clark.
Articles are published under the name of the writer responsible for the piece. Our writers may draw from personal experience, independent research, reputable publications, expert guidance, government resources, academic research, and other credible sources depending on the subject.
Every article is reviewed by a named member of the Hardwired Fit team before publication. This review may be completed by the author or another member of the editorial team and includes checking the article for accuracy, clarity, sourcing, originality, and consistency with our editorial standards.
How We Select Sources
The sources used in an article depend on the subject and the type of claim being made.
For health, fitness, nutrition, mental health, financial, legal, and other specialized subjects, we aim to rely on credible sources appropriate to the topic. These may include:
- Government agencies and public institutions
- Peer-reviewed research and academic publications
- Established medical and health organizations
- Qualified experts and professional organizations
- Original documents, reports, studies, and data
- Reputable publications with established editorial standards
Whenever possible, we prefer primary sources over summaries of those sources.
Not every article requires outside research. Personal essays, commentary, experience-based articles, and other opinion-driven content may be based primarily on the writer’s own perspective. These articles should not present personal experience or opinion as established fact.
Facts, Analysis, and Opinion
Hardwired Fit distinguishes between factual claims and the opinions, experiences, or conclusions of its writers.
Factual claims should be supported by reliable evidence when appropriate. Personal experiences are presented as personal experiences. Opinions and interpretations belong to the individual writer and should not be presented as universally established facts.
Readers should always consider their own circumstances and seek qualified professional guidance when making decisions involving their health, mental health, finances, taxes, or legal matters.
How Headlines Are Written
Headlines are written to accurately represent the subject of the article while giving readers a clear reason to read.
Hardwired Fit does not intentionally use headlines that make claims unsupported by the article itself. A headline may be written to be engaging, but it should not materially misrepresent the content, fabricate facts, or promise information the article does not provide.
Editorial Review
Every article published on Hardwired Fit is reviewed by a named human writer or editor before publication.
The person responsible for the final review is expected to consider:
- Factual accuracy
- Source quality
- Proper attribution
- Clarity and readability
- Originality
- Whether the headline accurately represents the article
- Whether opinions and factual claims are appropriately distinguished
- Whether the content meets Hardwired Fit’s editorial standards
Publication under a writer’s byline indicates that a named person has taken responsibility for the final published article.
Use of AI and Editorial Tools
Hardwired Fit may use artificial intelligence and other digital tools to assist with parts of the editorial process, including research organization, brainstorming, outlining, drafting assistance, editing, proofreading, formatting, and image creation or modification.
These tools do not replace human editorial responsibility.
Content is reviewed by a named human writer or editor before publication for accuracy, sourcing, originality, relevance, and compliance with our editorial standards. AI-generated or AI-assisted material is not treated as an independent source of fact.
