AI and Editorial Tools Policy

Last updated: May 3, 2026

Hardwired Fit uses modern digital tools, including artificial intelligence, as part of its editorial and creative workflow. These tools can assist the people behind the publication, but they do not replace human responsibility for what Hardwired Fit publishes.

How AI May Be Used

AI tools may assist with tasks including:

  • Brainstorming topics and ideas
  • Organizing research and notes
  • Creating outlines
  • Drafting assistance
  • Rewriting or restructuring text
  • Editing and proofreading
  • Headline development
  • Formatting
  • Creating or modifying images

The extent of AI assistance may vary from one piece of content to another.

Human Review and Responsibility

Every published article is reviewed by a named human writer or editor before publication.

The human responsible for the final article is expected to review the content for:

  • Accuracy
  • Source quality
  • Proper attribution
  • Originality
  • Clarity
  • Relevance
  • Compliance with Hardwired Fit’s editorial standards

AI output is not treated as inherently accurate. AI tools can produce incorrect, incomplete, misleading, or fabricated information, so factual claims must be evaluated rather than accepted solely because an AI tool produced them.

The named writer or editor remains responsible for the final published content.

AI Is Not a Source

Hardwired Fit does not treat an AI chatbot or generative AI system as an authoritative source for factual claims.

When an article relies on research, statistics, medical information, financial information, or other factual material requiring support, the relevant claims should be verified using appropriate external sources.

AI-Generated and AI-Edited Images

Hardwired Fit may use images that are generated, enhanced, modified, or otherwise created with the assistance of artificial intelligence.

AI-generated images may be used as illustrations or visual representations when appropriate. They should not be presented in a way intended to deceive readers into believing that a fictional or generated event actually occurred.

When an image is AI-generated, Hardwired Fit may provide a disclosure or credit identifying the image as AI-generated.

Some author images or other site imagery may also be digitally enhanced or AI-assisted. These images are intended as visual representations of the people or subjects identified and should not be used to fabricate events or falsely document real-world occurrences.

Originality

AI tools may assist with the creation process, but Hardwired Fit does not intentionally use them to copy or reproduce another publisher’s work.

Published articles are expected to provide original wording, organization, analysis, perspective, or value. Sources should be appropriately credited when their reporting, research, data, or expertise supports the content.

Corrections and AI-Assisted Content

AI-assisted content is held to the same correction standards as other content published on Hardwired Fit.

Readers who believe an article contains a factual error can contact contact@hardwiredfit.com.
